Bound, Jim

Jim Bound is an HP Senior Fellow, and leads the HP Enterprise Servers and Storage Network Technical Office (NTO) working across HP, Member HP Business Critical Server Technology Office, IPv6 Forum Chief Technology Officer and Member Board of Directors, North American IPv6 Task Force Chair, and networking subject matter expert to Governments and Industry world wide. Jim was a member of the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) IP Next Generation Directorate, who selected IPv6 in 1994 as the Next Generation Internet Protocol, and remains today an active contributor to the IETF standards development efforts. Jim has been focused on networking as an engineer and architect to build products since 1978. Jim is a 21 year member of the IEEE Society, Internet Pioneer member of the Internet Society, and IPv6 Forum recipient of the distinguished IPv6 Forum Internet Pioneer Award as the IPv6 Lead Plumber. Jim is also a member of the Network Centric Operations Industry Consortium (NCOIC) and past (Emeritus) NCOIC Network Mobility Chair, and the IPsphere Consortium
