            • LTE Forum 2010

            • Connecting Life 2011

In the 20th century, network-mediated experiences were episodic, standardized and controlled by service providers, with vast numbers of people left out of the world of networks. In the 21st century, network-enabled experiences are immersive, self-directed, personalized and increasingly universal.

It is unclear what changes will, or should occur, as value shifts to an “always-connected” framework, in both developed and historically underserved areas.

PTC’11: Connecting Life 24/7 will examine how telecom is changing, and being challenged, by always-connected users with new requirements and preferences, the transformation of the value chain, changing regulatory concerns, and new demands for high-performance infrastructure.

            • SharePoint Technology Conference 2010

            • LTE Forum 2010

In 2010 there is no better place to go than Stockholm – home of the first commercial LTE Network worldwide !

The wireless business is undergoing a major shift from voice-driven to data-driven services. Studies indicate that data revenue has grown by more than 30% per year, whereas the voice revenue grew by just 4%.

When mobile phones became popular, the 2G cellular networks they utilized did not provide enough bandwidth for the use of data-heavy applications. The wireless industry responded with 3G technologies to give greater bandwidth to enable more services, applications and wireless devices. The use of data boosted with 3G.

Today, in response to meet the requirements for more bandwidth and richer applications, the mobile industry is responding with an exponentially faster 4G technology, so called Long Term Evolution (LTE) – an output of the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP).

LTE will ensure the competitiveness of 4G for the next 10 years and beyond, and provide a high-data-rate, low-latency packet-optimized system.

Presentations from mobile operators and other industry experts will help delegates to understand why, when and how to migrate to LTE, and what they should be doing now to ensure their networks remain competitive into the future.

Some reasons why delegates will join the LTE Forum 2010
              - Understand the status of LTE standardization and assessing the timescales for mass market
              - Developing mobile broadband services that exploit high data rates
              - Evaluating the growth in mobile computing and the opportunities for LTE
              - Defining the business case for LTE and evaluate its importance for operators
              - Determining the migration strategies to LTE to ensure a seamless service delivery

            • IPv6 - The New Internet and What it Means to You

              Date : Tuesday 29th January 2008

The existing IP version 4 (IPv4), contains just over four billion unique IP addresses, which is not enough to last indefinitely. IPv6 is a replacement for IPv4, offering far more IP addresses and enhanced security features. ARIN and the other RIR's have distributed IPv6 alongside IPv4 since 1999. So far, ARIN has issued both versions in tandem and has not advocated one over the other, though it has closely monitored distribution trends with the understanding that the IPv4 available resource pool would continue to diminish.

With only 19% of IPv4 address space remaining; however, it is now compelled to advise the Internet community that migration to IPv6 is necessary for any applications that require ongoing availability of contiguous IP number resources.
